ADEBAYO DAWODU’S STORY

Adebayo Dawodu

I grew up in church like most people I know. I was curious and mischievous and I got saved, Christmas Eve of ’96 while chasing a girl in church. I was 12. I’m now 32 and I can tell you, accepting Christ was one of the best things I’ve done.

Most of my Christian friends sometimes worry about me because I question their approach to sharing their faith. I don’t like preachy Christians. They talk about God, but not their testimony. I’m from the school of thought that sharing your faith should come from a place of conviction, rather than just preaching for the sake of it and being socially awkward.

This is my story:

God delivered me from wetting my bed.

He delivered me from sickness and he saved my life on March 11, 2015.

He surrounded me with great family, friends and mentors, especially after losing my mother at an early age.

He showed me how to love my father, despite him not being around for most of my life.

I’ve never applied for the jobs I’ve held and I’ve worked for some of the best companies in the world, simply by the grace and favour of God.

Truly, God’s goodness and mercy have followed me and I know my purpose.

The list goes on, but I could never have experienced all these things without knowing God.
